25 food-tasting and cultural experiences
The Expo and Regions initiative focuses the spotlight on Italian agro-food delicacies, their places of production, and the cultural and landscape heritage of the relevant territories. Its aim is to broaden the Expo Milano 2015 experience by linking the universal exposition to the entire Italian territory.
The initiative is coordinated by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. It involves all Italian Regions, the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Italian Pavilion and five ministries: Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Agricultural Food and Forestry Policies; Education, University and Research; Environment and Protection of Land and Sea.
The Expo and Regions application proposes a list featuring over 80 typical products of excellence and more than 500 cultural and environmental heritage sites – including 26 Unesco sites – identified by the Regions, to help discover the various delicacies and beautiful sites that enrich Italys territory.
